You can't get distilled water anywhere here
De-ionised water is the same thing, if that helps. I don't know where 'here' is but it's still used here for ironing, automotive purposes etc.
All this water chat reminds me that I want to try Malvern water in my espresso machine. I'm not talking about the bottled water, but the free spring water which pops up at public wells in various places on and around the hills. It's supposed to be very pure and the locals tell me it's great for ironing, so I figure it would be good for espresso.
It’s very easy in America to buy in a bottle, but as per my comment, my Zero water filter :) it’s basically a countertop reverse osmosis filter.
It takes my tap water of 150ish TDS to 0 TDS hence the brand name of ‘Zero’. The filters are more expensive than Brita et al but Zero actually works.
The guy who founded Decent posted on some forum the other day that he also uses a Zero and then adds his own recipe of minerals and stuff to it.
