I’m thinking about having a classic (>30 years old) built in the UK and then importing it.

I'd like an ex-ADF one, they still use them here AFAIK. This fucker is ready to go, wouldn't change a thing.

This one's in NSW, A$60k, originally built for the Singapore military, 30+ years old, what a beauty.

Loving this classic SUV chat... That Range Rover reminds me of a near identical one we had when I was a kid, Dad swapped in a Mitsubishi truck engine, a common swap at the time... had all of the polybushs and a LSD so about as jazzy as was to be expected in early 90s.
FWIW I'd probably go for a Toyota though, I've been quite keen on an 80 series myself as has been mentioned.
Side note... has anyone any experience of the Jaguar AJ-V8 supercharged engine in the L322 Range Rover? I've spotted a few stupidly cheap ones in Ireland recently and it's got my mind ticking over about getting back on the Forester engine swap that's been gathering dust in my shed...

Yep. There's a few around here, absolutely thumbs up
The G63 amg thing... As awesome as it is, there's still a fairly huge douche hill to climb before owning one.

Why is no one jizzying themselves silly over the humble Mk1 Nissan Qashqai?

It says a lot about our society that actionman cosplay is seen as cooler than taking your kids and their mates to swimming club.

I'm not sure about the image matching reality. I see a few of the latest facelift G regularly around here. Dodgy builder/developer, who gets a new G63 every year, is a scruffy 60 something, v middle class woman in a G400 and a millennial hipster couple usually sipping FWs with cloth tote bags beside their G63. I think they are so expensive that the finance Deanos can't afford them.

If you took the kids wild swimming in a Landie would that be double cosplay?

Proper virility machines. The definition of sperm motility for those of us with only 2 children.

Collecting next week. Excited.

Ha, congrats! I'm usually not keen on the 437m wheels but they look really good here! How far away is it?

That’s a much better choice than the Volvo. Beautiful things.
Congrats.
Maybe even the last good looking bimmer.

Just current 5 series touring might be the last attractive BMW. I think the I3 is the last real BMW.

How far away is it?
The important questions being asked here! 29.2 miles. (vs 232).
2018, 50k miles and it cost as much as my M140i did 12 months ago. Funny really as they were out of budget 2 months ago when I bought the Volvo. 10-20% market drops welcome here.
Jumped in and straight away it felt like home. Ride was much better than the M140i which had adaptive suspension which I found odd. Seat bolster was a little ropey, and arm rest is well rested (suspect larger previously owner) but nothing a couple of £££ on eBay over the coming months won't resolve. Outside being mopped by dealership to resolve a few scratches and a couple of stone chips being touched in, but otherwise externally it's in good nick and no sign of body kit. Hasn't been mapped either being used approved.

Definitely would. 🤩

Awesome choice! May I suggest you tell the dealership to leave the paint alone and get a pro detailer to sort it out.

I'm right into these at the moment, very tempted to make one our family runabout

Me too, love the look and size but just can’t stomach the price
Extremely fashionable cars- although apparently a lot of unsold G63’s now piling up at UK dealerships as higher interest rates start to bite.
