So I recently got this 26er with a suspension corrected rigid fork from Salsa for my daughter. Out of interest I then compared that to the unicrown fork for my Soma wolverine, and it is quite similar. Maybe sits a smidge higher. But yes, quite similar.
The axle to crown measurement should give you a hint.
Assuming I could find something that would fit in the head tube of the bike, if I was going to swap an old sus fork off a 26er for a rigid fork, is there any reason why I wouldn't get a 29er fork with a thru axle? Then I could use my 'not doing anything' 29er wheel I swapped for a dynamo wheel on the 26er.
Is it going to be impossible to find a 29er fork that would actually fit in the Voodoo?
There's loads of cheapass BUCKLOS and TOOSEEK forks on ebay. Tricky part would probably be finding out the bike's dimensions, given it's in another country.
Hmm, brakes another issue. Post mount vs. whateverthefuckmount
