Rider got doored and then was run over. Happened right in front of a school during pick up/drop off time.
It's a stretch I regularly ride. The so called infrastructure there is a painted line directly in the door zone, and in my opinion is one tragic examples of how the lack of safe road design is failing us down here, because the presence of that very line is making what isn't a particularly dangerous or fast stretch of road more dangerous to navigate. Stick to it you get doored, don't stick to it and get the wrath of impatient drivers.
The poor chap that got killed is leaving behind a family with two kids I believe. So sad.
