I’ve seen a few shows at the 02 Arena, it really lacks any sort of atmosphere. Our friends and indeed hosts were racially profiled for security and scrunity around VIP / Corporate credentials, even had one member of staff chase after them up the escalators in pursuit..
However Cypress Hill managed to move the crowd with a mass of hits and DJ/Drummer for mash up solos. And whilst Ice Cube did his best with a clutch of memorable solo and NWA tracks his performance was for me too one dimensional, and could have done with more than just relying on one wing man.
The Game was also a no show.
I’d also say that 50% of the crowd were probably over 50, white, middle class and not from London, typical demographic I suppose.
