  • I then learned they come undrilled so they've been put away waiting for me wanting to spend a day fettling. Any and all tips & tricks for fitting the guards are appreciated.

  • Still in a bit of a no-bikes rut, but yoga is great and I'm sure I'll get back into it once the weather and amount of daylight head into the right direction.

In the meantime I've made mr. @Hulsroy something I'm pretty proud of.

  • Super nice! Did you use a pattern for the shoulder strap? And what is the fabric used for the main body?

  • It's fucking amazing. I have sooo much love for your work @Tijmen

It's Challenge Ultra 400 sail cloth I believe!

  • Yikes that’s delightful.

  • The shoulder strap was loosely traced from a reference and then adjusted to Mads' not quite middle of the bell curve physique.

    @cheekysnaker

Thanks! It also comes as a roll-top...

  • It weighs in at 750g, the UL crowd might weep, but it's definitely not a heavy pack. It could be engineered more towards lightness, but that comes at the cost of durability and that just doesn't really make sense on a pack for day to day usage.

  • good work!

  • Amazing stuff! Not sure how hard this is compared to your usual bags, but looks very impressive.

  • Uh oh.

All grey with fidlock buckles please. Seriously, don’t tempt me…

  • Oh yes, the grey ULTRA200 would be perfect for this.

  • Imma gonna need one of them too

  • Seriously good looking backpack!

  • That's not bad at all especially if you weren't aiming at lightness. Does it has some sort of water resistence? The lid construction is suggesting this

  • That's very useful!

  • The shell fabric is a waterproof laminate, and the lining is rather water proof too with a PU coating. As with all sewn goods, the seams are the weak point for water ingress, at some point they will wet through. If I'd be expecting torrential conditions or carrying particularly sensitive stuff through lighter rain, I'd line the bag with a dry bag / bin liner.

  • Backpack #2 is a bit smaller, I’m trying out some new things as I work out what features to offer etc. This one has provisions for a detachable waist strap and spacer mesh on the back. I’ll stop posting these once I start selling them, but the first few are more of a project than a product.

  • I’ll stop posting these

    Please no

  • I’ve always felt a bit awkward about „advertising“ on here. Even though it’s never the purpose of my posts.

  • In my opinion it never feels like advertising. I get real enjoyment from seeing your updates and it inspires me to get back to making things.

Totally and 100% this. It also means understanding what you offer and what you are interested in making. When I got my frame bag from you I was most excited by the fact that my excitement was met with your excitement. Please keep doing what you are doing and post everything you are (interested in) making.

  • I'd quite like to see a new post for every item you make :D

  • I don’t think there’s many on here (if any) who would consider your posts in this thread advertising.
I follow for the same reason I watch build videos with Adam Savage or Paul Brodie, the post apocalyptic inventor or others - to get a glimpse of the process of a creative problem solving mind.
Please do continue as long as you have the energy for it.
