.243 Racing Hardcore Hardtail Freeride MTB 4130 Chromoly Steel Frame
This is a very rare and desirable steel hardtail frame, for DH, street, dirt jumping or aggressive trail riding. .243 were handmade in small quantities in Vancouver BC by Eric Fox. The .243 Racing Frame is built from oversized straight-guage 4130 cromo tubing which means there is no internal butting of the tubes like there is on some high-end steel and aluminium frames. This makes for a stronger, but heavier frame than average.
This is the Medium size, with a 330mm / 13" Seattube length and a Toptube length of 560mm / 22".
The bottom bracket is British Threaded BSA MTB type.
Can be used with 24" or 26" wheels.
The rear dropouts are horizontal type with an integrated gear hanger, and include chain tensioners which allow the rear axle to be locked in one of several positions to vary the chainstay length, alternatively they can be used for running single speed.
The dropouts allow you to run chainstay lengths anywhere from a super-short 399mm / 15.7" to a more sedate 420mm / 16.5".
This is one of the few hardtail frames durable enough to run a Dual Crown/DH fork.
The frame is in good used condition with no dents and no cracks.
The frame, seatclamp, and chain tugs will all be packed individually. The frame & parts will be packaged generously with thick padding & thick cardboard to ensure its protection.
Don't worry about formatting, just type in the text and we'll take care of making sense of it. We will auto-convert links, and if you put asterisks around words we will make them bold.
Tips:
Create headers by underlining text with ==== or ----
To *italicise* text put one asterisk each side of the word
To **bold** text put two asterisks each side of the word
Embed images by entering: ![](https://www.google.co.uk/images/srpr/logo4w.png) That's the hard one: exclamation, square brackets and then the URL to the image in brackets.
* Create lists by starting lines with asterisks
1. Create numbered lists by starting lines with a number and a dot
