Ha no stress just testing the water 👍🏻👍🏻
Bought these a while back and returned as they were a bit edgy for me… regret but I doubt I’d have worn them much…

Sorry, are you saying Michael's look orthopedic???????
Hello?????

I think those are boss. Very comfortable but I have to be in a gregarious mood to deal with the piss taking when I wear mine (and not be meeting any vegan mates).

Is that hair on them from your hair cut?

Base London did a version of this years ago. Looked like it had come straight off the cow.
Love these

I wish! Although I’ve got a lot of it, at the ripe old age of 44 my barnet is completely silver. I blame my son.
@Light_EDDed I like ‘em too but my wife loathes them (I’m banned from wearing them in her presence) and my terrier eyes them with suspicion.

You're right. The current pair are like slipping into old friends.

I'm banned from wearing berets, but wear one secretly.

I'll give you that the Sketchers have a strong retiree vibe. And I would never argue that they are attractive.
But those other ones look like the sort of things people with legs different lengths wear. Or footwear for someone working in an East German nursing home.

I like the C&Js and the Church's.
I'm 9.5 or 10 dependant on maker's sizing so it seems possible that these could fit.

Bought a pair of Loakes in store, ended up not being right for my outfit. Receipt says extended returns due to Christmas, make my partner feel really uncomfortable whilst returning for me as supposedly the receipt is wrong.
Ah well, that's them blacklisted for me, as I'm petty.
Any recommendations for black derby boots in G width? Currently looking at Grenson Desmonds

Any recommendations for a nice pair of Chelsea boots with vibrant soles? I like the look of the Crockett Chelsea 11s, but I don’t have £550 to spend on a pair of boots right now.

Nps or solovair over Grenson, Grenson are pretty crappy these days sadly - or check Meermin?
-
• #9243
Again, NPS or Solovair - no Vibram but worth a look, or hunt down something on eBay, Cheaney/Church/Loake or RM Williams (RMW same or better than C&J at Chelsea boots)

Grenson G-one range that was linked to are still v good quality and hand made in Northampton. Grenson don't really help themselves here with their weird range naming conventions though.
As an alternative I've got a pair of Trickers Grassmere that have been going strong for years now. Slightly more subdued than the grensons linked to but I'd highly recommend.
Hunt around as it's almost always possible to find them below RRP (or used to be).

Ha cheers for the intel - I’m all across eBay/Vinted/Depop and Stuart’s (who seem to do decent sales)
I’m a 10 in micheals, assumed I’d be a 9.5 in the loafer but not many about… cheers for link 👍🏻
