Yep - I'll agree Arsenal were quite Spursy last season.

With Southampton, Villa, West Ham and Newcastle all having spent time outside of the Premier League it's maybe not a fair comparison as if they'd been ever presents they would be surely higher up that table (and given their success over a decent period, surprising to see Chelsea in the mix).
Then again, scoring first in the last five with only a draw to show for it is rather, well, Spursy (unless they also feature in a "most points won from a losing position" list in which case all bets are off).

Have spurs won anything yet?
-
• #167005
I’m sure there’s stats about that
-
• #167006
Have they won anything apart from best team in Tottenham?
-
• #167007
Haringey Borough would like to contest that one.

I like Spurs. I think the fact they've played in a Champions League final more recently than all but three other English clubs is overlooked as well, though no one really cares about runners up.
I do think they are better than most at promising without quite delivering though, though Arsenal last season definitely do come close.

When were Spurs last genuinely in the running to win the title? Probably before you were born.
-
• #167010
It was the Leicester year they finished second.
Edit: it was third wasn’t it, they should have finished second. -

They even got a tattoo to celebrate.

• #167012
They didn't.
-
• #167013
They even Spurs'd that.
-
• #167014
Edited as you posted that. They were definitely genuinely in the running for the title most of that season, I would say.
-
• #167015
Yeah, but no-one seriously thought they'd win it, did they? We all knew they'd shit the bed when it mattered, it's what Spurs do.
-
• #167017
Lol.....But everyone thought that other team would win?
-
• #167018
There is always that, and they did really wilt quite badly in the end. But (and my memory may be hazy) until the point that Leicester won it they were the only realistic challenger.

• #167019
So essentially you have a good forwards and a ropey defence. 😉

Wow Saints finished sixth!

Both Arsenal and City were top for periods and fairly Spursy, whereas Spurs weren't ever higher than second.

Priceless remark coming from a Goober. 🛌🌊

Well yeah, we’ve been pioneering shit American owners since before it was cool.

All this nonsense Spurs chat. They have been awesome this season. Proper entertainment high line high octane. With maddison back in new year their results will pick up again. This is a genuinely exciting season with ten teams in with a chance of top four

Please refer to Spursy as the "S-word".
Gutted for Koleosho. He really looks like he could be on Doku's level as an attacking winger given another couple of seasons.
