insanely sketchy! as i think i've posted on here before - lamp posts outside local shops / tesco metro etc are usually a good source for emergency zipties.

Yeah wow.

After 10k I would have totally forgotten and would most likely try to bunny hop a pothole.

Actually this reminds me of a great (but slightly dangerous) trick I came up with when I got stuck trying to adjust the tie rods on my car years ago, and which saved me multiple times as a hydraulic service tech...
If you're short on Nm when you're using a couple of spanners together, get an old inner tube (preferably one of those super heavy 23mm tubes from a nasty cheap bike from the fixie craze), tie it on the end of one spanner and stretch wrap it around both - but keep your fingers out of the way!
It's only ever failed me once or twice; you can build up a crazy amount of force like this - so ensure the spanners are on good, or bad things can happen... And the finger warning deserves a reiteration.

Should have used a £2 coin to flex on other riders.

• #3038
£2 coin? Pff. I would have used a limited edition princess Diana £5 coin

was a consideration but was unfortunately out of budget for this build
would have ideally liked to use two of these

I'd have used a coin with ostrich feathers and a coronet on the back.
Just my two pence. -

It's what she would of wanted

the 10ps are actually too small, so would definitely stick a couple of these on!

Ooooof that's tidy. What does the rest of the build look like?

Inspired by what people have done online (more than inspired, the same really) I made myself a spoke nipple screwdriver, from a £2.70 Phipps one from Wickes.
