I got lucky and just picked up a 2010 Fiesta Titanium trim for £2k, but assuming the £550 includes labour and some hefty parts, I'd say that's reasonable for another year of motoring.
Yeah - 2x tyres, whole new exhaust and cleaning out washer system. I’ve not spent more than fuel and oil/filters on it in 3 years so it’s not so bad, just I doubt it’s worth £550 after the work!
My car’s not worth a lot but it’s basically sat in my garage gathering dust. I’m about to spend a chunk of money getting it back on the road. If I spend £1k sorting it, I might get £2k if I ever sell it. Bloody cars
