  • The chain is relatively new. Only a few months old and I've not done a huge amount of miles since it was replaced. The cables are super cheap but the outers are kind of fancy. Will try replacing both and get someone more competent than me to index. If that doesn't work, new cassette time in spring!

  • If the chain is newish it's probably not the cassette or chainrings as it would've been worse straight away then settled in a bit, probably cables, indexing or hanger.

  • Ah, got you! Needs a bit of tweaking by someone who knows what they're doing then. Thanks. As a point of reference, what would be a typical mileage to get out of a cassette and set of chainrings?
