  • What on earth is this light fitting and where can I buy a replacement?

Just bought a home and one of the bedrooms has some weird lights. LEDs on a dimmer. I couldn't find any markings on the unit itself, so have opened it all up and there is some text on the PCB, but it isn't very helpful so far in finding a replacement. Attached are pictures of the light unit I pulled out of the ceiling, and the driver unit it was plugged into.

If it's gonna be impossible or very expensive to find a similar replacement, is there a good way to change over to a more common dimmable LED light type as a DIY job?

  • Late to this but if you haven't found a replacement yet i'd suggest trying a driver from one of the working fittings first. Almost all good quality LED fittings are integral/non replaceable as the normal LED lifetime is high. IME it's usually the driver that fails so you may just need to replace that.

Saying that it looks like quite an old/cheaper fitting so you may just want to replace it but i suspect you'd need to do all the fittings that room for it not to look a mess.
