It's Manuel right?
I've often wanted a Forester but recently drove a GT... Which was basically a Forester bodied WRX like this STI. Didn't love it. Not a sports car, not an off-road car really and not comfortable. I am getting pretty damn old though so firm suspension bugs the hell outta me.
I know golf is boring but I reckon this would drive a hell of a lot better than the subie
Check out this 2008 Volkswagen Golf GTI V Manual MY08.

I had a later one (SG9) 2.5 XT which I loved, it was a great car for the family and lugging stuff around, even better when I got it remapped. It was brisk, I think even stock it was meant to do 0-60 in 5. something and the map made a huge difference esp torque/lower down. Didn’t handle like a sports car, it runs a lot of clearance and I didn’t mess with the suspension, just enjoyed it for what it was. There was a recall for the front wishbones which rusted from the inside and failed. I was aware of it and checked it had been done, unfortunately didn’t stop the replacement also failing and throwing me off the road and writing it off, so quite a sad end to that one 😢
ah well that is easy. stop fucking about and get this Forester. and fuck the FiLs Merc if ever that does come up.
