  • I agree, and that fact that she mouthed this RedLine brexit means that no amount of post-rationalisation can absolve her from blame.

  • Great demolition of May's revisionism here by Ian Dunt. Forgive the archive link but the Independent website is a horror show to read: https://archive.ph/5HjwI

  • Thanks. That was an interesting article.

  • I'm guessing West Suffolk is near the top of the list of Tory safe seats?

  • The best you can say about May was that she didn’t realise what she was saying in the Lancaster House speech.

  • Give it a few years, that might be an offer I consider if the economy doesn't improve.

  • She was the pre but impeding diarrhea shit that had hints of solid matter but let you know that shortly, the next amount of time will be nothing but pure liquid heat destroying your arsehole and toilet. You'd certainly choose to go back to that if it was an option, but it's all degrees of horror.

  • Anyone know the average time of parcels in customs since Brexit? Had something from German 'processing in customs' for a few days now.

Is it the same going the other way? My bro lives in Germany and have some stuff to send back.

  • Piece of string

Send with DHL or so. Not common post and you'll stand better chance.

  • A survey, by preferred supermarket, of attitudes to the EU.

  • Entirely unsurprising. Iceland and M&S gammons are special.

  • Surprised at Waitrose. Every time I go into my local one I always take a look at the Newspaper shelves and the Daily M*il is always sold out - almost without fail.

The Iceland/M&S thing is quite amusing though, the two polar opposite ends of the Brexit voters!

  • But both so completely identifiable as Brexit voters.

Waitrose being owned by the workers? That's a socialist construct right there. Properly proud of co-op though!

  • the UK has not witnessed the rise of the nasty nationalism seen across the Channel.

Larry Elliott is clearly smoking crack. We've effectively got a far right Government, whose policies towards asylum seekers are as bad, if not worse, than anything we're seeing elsewhere in Europe.

The rest of the article is full of arguments that are very easy to counter with facts. I'm amazed that got published, given how poor it is.

  • Yep, that's comically bad piece, could almost be a spectator article.

Is he really stupid enough not to realise our wave of nationalism came ahead of the rest of Europe, we've pretty much got the English independence party in power at the moment and are 'hopefully' in the midst of a correction.

  • Agreed,
so bad, in fact that the Comments have not been opened.

  • People have "preferred" supermarkets and not just "what am I closest to?"

  • Marx and Spencer

  • Welcome to the UK class system

  • I used to shop in M&S for work shirts. I hope none of that money went to the fucking pedo monarchy.

  • Saw that earlier and had to read it twice. Hard to believe but I guess everyone’s entitled to an opinion.

Larry Elliott is the Guardian’s economics editor

  • I think it's an inevitability of paying tax in the UK that all of us has paid at least a little towards the fucking paedo monarchy...

  • I knew about that bit though. I always make sure to take at least one shit on monarchy-"owned" property per year to get my money's worth.

  • Many Icelands in Norn Ire are in "nationalist" areas, not exactly Brexit voting hotbeds.

I do like the Iceland CEO in fairness, he's calling out price hiking on baby foods.
