Yep, that's comically bad piece, could almost be a spectator article.
Is he really stupid enough not to realise our wave of nationalism came ahead of the rest of Europe, we've pretty much got the English independence party in power at the moment and are 'hopefully' in the midst of a correction.

Larry Elliott is clearly smoking crack. We've effectively got a far right Government, whose policies towards asylum seekers are as bad, if not worse, than anything we're seeing elsewhere in Europe.
The rest of the article is full of arguments that are very easy to counter with facts. I'm amazed that got published, given how poor it is.
