She had 11. As soon as she hits 12 she’s considered a ‘totter’ by the courts and will receive a six month ban, unless she can prove exceptional hardship, which she didn’t. So at that point the number of points is somewhat immaterial as at the end of her ban her license will be cleared.
I’m pretty sure the points stay on your license for 4 years even after a ban.
Anyway I was reading (can’t find it now) the other day about a bloke with 50+ points that is still driving. As long as you can pay the fine it’s a tax on poor drivers and not an offence it would seem.
