Oooft, hope you're in better shape than that!

I’m fine, the brake less ride home on Thursday was better than today’s walk home in the rain. Two breakdowns in a week I’m running out of bikes.

Probably a bit late now, but Nautilus in West Hampstead/Fortune Green or The Seashell of Lisson Grove, near Marylebone station.

Managed to score a POC enduro helmet stupid cheap in the wiggle fire sale. It’s cheap because it is a tasteful shade of pink. Would spray painting it a different colour a massive no-no? If not, any advice on best paint/techniques to use?

Can snyone recommend a good/reliable 2tb external/portable SSD for under £100?
-
• #119633
I would sticker it up.

^ This or just style it out and not care less. Maybe pair with a tasteful lime green shirt.
(I'm sure someone once explained why it wasn't a good idea somewhere on here...)

Couple of guys in my old office used to have those Lacie orange rubber/rugged jobs with them all the time - think they come in just under a ton? Not used them myself though.

If the liner is EPS, the solvents in spray paint will probably degrade it - if it is EPP then it should be more solvent resistant but many paint types will bead rather than cover.
The hard shell might be ok with a suitable plastic primer and much masking (see above) but I wouldn't.
With any luck someone with a greater understanding will spot this and post a better answer for you. -

I picked up one of those a few weeks back. Seem to be relatively well regarded (you can get 4TB ones but apparently those particular ones have been prone to issues, 500GB-2TB seem to be unaffected)
BTW, they're much smaller than I was expecting, so check the size if that's a factor to consider

Is it possible to reduce a Sid Ultimate fork from 120 to 110? Easy job?

You'd probably be ok with acrylic paint (you won't get that in Halfords - Go to London Graphics in Covent Garden for that, it isn't cheap).
I'd avoid cellulose paint or anything with adhesive (like stickers) both have a habit of degrading the sort of plastics that helmets are made of. -

Fablon / sticky backed plastic. Always did the job on Blue Peter :)

Draw cocks all over it with a Sharpie.

We've got probably 30 of these in 2TB and 4TB and never had a problem with any and they've all been put through some serious use. But I've read countless tales of woe regardless of denomination. Still going to carry on using ours though.
op will struggle to find 2Tb for under £100 but the T7 is probably the best regarded I've come across (I have none but everyone I speaks to says they're the one).

What could be causing my back wheel to pull to the left (non chain side) when my chain slips when putting much weight on it. The whole drivechain needs replacing, but still, with the skewer done up tight I don't really see how this is happening.

I don't really see how this is happening
The DS gets pulled about 4-5 times as hard as the NDS, so even if the grip is equal on both sides, the DS will slip and the tyre will hit the NDS stay

BITD even the internal cam QR skewers needed a good heft to keep the wheel from slipping, chrome dropouts made things even worse!

• #119646
Which skewers?

• #119647
^ thanks.
Oxford skewers

Why is it on some threads that I open on my phone it knows the last post I read and opens there but on others it opens just at the top of the last page I was on?
-

Maybe not. Stickers can cause issues with shell integrity.
Think eei painted his helmet, but all depends on what the shell is made from.
Pedalling slowly up a steep slope. It was 2nd hand so no idea about it’s history
