  • he was in the first row on the race before Dublin (urban cross?) but was in about 20th position after the first couple of corners. I loved how when he finally reached the leaders he went straight to the front; he seems to have loads of confidence.

  • Been following him since he was doing CX Skills tutorials on his YouTube channel as a teenager. Seemed like a great kid and I’m so pleased to see his progression into the seniors.

  • I hadn't seen today's result until now. it's Joris Nieuwenhuis who I hadn't noticed until this season.

  • He used to be a domestique for Are Tom

  • I don’t really get why Cam Mason moved from trinity who seem to have good PR, great bikes, let him race gravel, Mtb and cross and have the option to do road at a high level, and he’s gone to teamred 777 who seem to only do cross and Steven’s don’t seem to make a full sus xc bike. Presumably £££

  • Team support I suspect. The big belgian teams are really well setup. The riders get a lot of help on racedays

  • All the women on 777 also race road for Fenix-Deceuninck in the Womens World Tour or Conti. Ryan Cortjens rode for the men's development team. Maybe Mason has a chance to step up too?

  • He posted an emotional thank you video to trinity on his YouTube. I got the impression that he just reached the end of the road there as they are predominantly a development team. He also posted about 777 implying that this change was for this cross season only and that he had more exciting team announcements to come later in the season.

  • Ah cool, I should have watched his full video! Thanks. I hope he doesn’t give up the Mtb and gravel too, enjoyed the mix last year. Nice tribute to his old pal Rab as well doing Mtb and having fun

  • 777, along with Alpecin-Decuenick and Crelan are all owned and run by the Roodhoft brothers. Mason will be riding an MTB program, probably in Alpecin-Decuenick colours, next season.

Trinity are a development team, so their goal is to get their young riders full pro contracts. Mason is now an elite, so beyond the level of a development team. He was always going to leave this year.

  • Total-Direct Energies are using Enve wheels and frames next year. No idea what TT bike they're going to use.

  • 777, along with Alpecin-Decuenick and Crelan

All riding together at the training camp in Spain it seems from social media

  • I know SEG riding Koga used rebranded Lapierre tt bikes a few years ago. Don't know why though, as Koga had a tt frame I believe.

  • Imanol Erviti joining Ineos as a DS from January 1st. That has a lot of potential, I think he has all the right attributes to be a very good DS.

  • Probably a crossover with the Israel-Palestine thread, but... Sylvain Adams of Israel-PremierTech (or whatever they're called), getting in touch with an activist to "set her straight" (I guess).

  • …. so …. Jumbo might be quite strong next season ? !

  • The comparisons with Frank Vandenbroucke go further than his ability on the bike then?

  • Not sure if it was posted before, but the doco on Jan Ulrich on Amazon is pretty good
