These Mavics real or fakes?

Local seller has some reasonably priced unused Mavic Carbon SL 45 for sale. Price is not unreasonable but the wheels don't match the photos on the Mavic site and were supposedly bought in the last year.

Any way I can tell if they're kosher?

I just happened to image search your original picture and this came up. Same door. Different wheels this time with a fake cosmic sticker that's missing the "i".... Like this: cosm`c

Seems pretty sus to me.
