Okay, now I've got that measured I'm finding more things. Look like I can either go for something like this https://www.arrowelectricals.co.uk/recessed-round-led-panel-6000k-6w-in-white-finish/?sku=SPW6W-60&utm_term=&utm_source=googles&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=PMax&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiAyKurBhD5ARIsALamXaHzu67NRh6lXaPrxb9Z5V-cNmefklEH21cQ6mdc4Xdzd9EWasdj0twaAnJCEALw_wcB but will not be able to plug and play with the existing driver, or I can get something like https://www.toolstation.com/gu10-low-voltage-downlight-ceiling-converter/p61411 and then just switch to GU10 dimmable bulbs.
Given that option 1 still needs me to cut wires and reconnect, I'm leaning toward option 2. There's a lot of insulation in the roof of this room, but seems to be a decent bit of room. I will make sure I measure and have at least 125mm before I order option 2.
Anything I'm missing, or other good reasons not to go for option 2, the gu10 converter?
