  • My wife needed this advice when we went to the cinema on a Christmas Eve and she went for a piss with a phone (that was on day two of a two year contract) in her back pocket.

  • If freehand that's quite impressive/foolhardy

  • Ha! My parents got the plumber out when I was about that age, because they thought the toilet was leaking. It wasn't, and I knew why.

  • Surely with some kind of lazy Susan arrangement underneath

  • Yea it's definitely not freehand but I thought it's cool nonetheless..

  • They’ve just started harvesting the ‘sweetcorn’ in the field behind our place. This is the same ‘sweetcorn’ that a neighbour has been eating for the last week, despite me telling them that it’s not sweetcorn, but is in fact maze. Maze is cattle feed and tough as old boots as well as tasteless. “It’s just not quite ripe” Well I was wrong, it’s not cattle feed at all, it’s biomass. They chop it up in the field as they harvest it, then it compressed and dried as pellets and then burnt for fuel. You learn something new everyday.

  • There are fields around us that grow saplings for biomass, I think it's willow. I guess it makes more money than growing food?

  • A really cash crop by all accounts. Ours is for the farm itself, they are a rape seed oil producer, one of those ‘within x miles’ types.

  • Net zero in action. The new gravy train in the countryside now that CAP is gone.

  • Exactly that. It’s on rotation so we’ll get rape next, then peas, wheat, beets, etc

  • One of the greatest things on the internet!

  • Just on the off chance someone needs to perform a similar task.

  • That's very helpful, thanks!

  • I have that in a military manual, that was for one of my vehicles

  • Noel Edmonds:

In 2016, he offered a pet counselling service, calling cats and dogs to offer them words of affirmation and positivity. He has published a book titled Positively Happy: Cosmic Ways to Change Your Life, has claimed that he is visited by two orbs the size of melons that he believes are his dead parents, and at one stage carried around a lifesize mannequin named Candice Cannes.

  • ..these taste so fucking weird (in a kinda-good way, but also in an unhealthy wtf-way) 🤷 🤯 🙊

  • A lot of flavours for one sweet. Are they strong like fisherman friend can be?

Am calling it a day at 50.1%

  • I did this on yet another cycling forum a couple of weeks ago and stopped at 61.2%.
Eta - I spend 3hrs per day using Overground, Underground and Greater Angrier, between Forest Hill and Waltham Cross.

  • Struggled to 52.3%, so many lines on there which didn't exist last time I used public transport.

  • Maize as in the foodstuff of the Americas since the Incas? And whose predecessors were cultivated maybe 6000-7000 years ago? Rather than the modern varietal sweetcorn with the higher sugar content?

    Yeah, must be cattle feed.
