Did a LB group order happen? Interested in a few bottle cages but they can only be added to wheel orders..
-
• #11428
They're just the knock-off bontrager xxx cages aren't they? They've been all over AliExpress for years

Was assuming that they at least made theirs, and I trust the rims. Had an Alix one crack.. but could take a punt on more.

An order was stumbled through and we're waiting on delivery now

Are hylix seatposts relatively ok/safe? Need a 0 offset post for a cannondale and they're half the price of the official item (although still triple figures)
-
• #11432
Yeah I did maybe 14,000km on a 25.4mm hylix on my caad12 before I sold the bike. It's probably still going too

Edit / Ignore. Was talking about the regular version. Mine has been fine

How are they fairing up, mechanically?

Good to know. I went deep on weight weenies forum after i'd bought it and sh*t myself from the (admittedly decade old) horror stories

quite impressive snapping in the middle of the crankarm like that. remarkable

• #11439
Let us know how you get on please. I need a zero setback post for the Caledonia I bought off here but have also been put off by the price of original Cervelo parts and the Hylix tales of woe on weight weenies!

ahh thanks for saving the typo.
I saw that photo of the snapped crank before, I was wondering more about the rear mech.
I should have been specific

Absolutely faultless in operation, quiet and smooth fast shifts, great chainline on my bike with a wheels mfg bsa30 BB. Easily comparable in this respect to the Sram red 22 that it replaced. Seen a good few miles so far but still early days I guess.

Okay I’m on a roll.
Any experience of LB’s WR series rims 25mm internal/32mm external on a road bike?
Clearance not an issue and want to run 30c tyres.

• #11443
Yeah amazing. Doing the same

Easily done. That place triggers some radical life choices. It's an addiction best not admitted to. Imagine how much the anti-cycling rhetoric would be amped up if the general public knew what goes on there.

Anyone got any experience with the 9velo wheels? Get good reviews (particularly Peak Torque) but don't know anyone with a set. Looking to build up a CAAD13 and these will help it get in around 7.5kg (maybe, some guesswork on some weights)

I run 32's on my WR 45's on all road bike and they are pretty dreamy. What do you want to know?

I have one of LB'S mixed depth wheelsets on my Canyon Endurace. WR45 up front and AR56 on the back. Awesome wheels and have done super well for all kinds of road riding, including a lot of sketchy surfaces in Indonesia.
One thing to be aware of is that my 30mm tyres (Schwalbe One) come up at 32 or 33mm since the rim is so wide. So you may want to go for 28s to get a true 30mm
Here's a photo in Italy

Hello, has anyone had any luck with finding a saddle like the fizik tempo (the short wide one)? and bought one that didn't break?

Is there a decently light (and not totally shit quality) carbon frameset available for around 700 euros at all? About to push the button on a CAAD13 and wondering if I should go carbon from China instead (and another Winspace is out of budget).

Ican?

I can't vouch for their current range but I have done maybe 20k km on one of their earlier models over 8 years with no issues.
They're a bit cheaper than winspace.
I had one. Managed to f-up the derailleur alignment and it exploded spectacularly. User error I now, but I wasn't too bummed even though I had to limp home 10km. I had a feeling it flexes somehow and shifting was not as crisp as I want
