  • Synergetic lube aside, what do Silca excel at?

Style over substance, as is so often the case with all things cycling.

  • I have the older Premio saddle roll with BOA dial. 3-4 years later it is starting to slip even when secured tightly. Not sure if the waxed canvas has started to give, or if the Boa is knackered, or something else. I believe the newer, asymmetrical one (named as such) holds better.

I also have had a couple of their Multi-tools, and still use the Venti, which I like for it's flat profile and functionality. I can't say it's any better than the average Topeak multi-tool I've owned, but it had all the bits that I needed and the shorter, stubbier tools better suited some of my bikes.

  • I had a silca seat pack with a boa that broke - to their credit they sent me out a replacement boa free of charge which sorted it out. More than that they sent me a bunch of them - so if anyone needs a boa to replace one that isn’t happy let me know.
