cheers. i know there are a few haters out there for these frames and I understand why, but it's a pretty great commuter and versatile all rounder, and copes with everything I need it to.

Looks really good with that stem. I was tempted by one but didn't fancy the tiny head tube and a massive spacer stack, the tall stack stem solves the aesthetic issue!

A TT frame judging by rear dropouts & clearance?
Yup, late 60s early 70s TT frame. It actually has loads of clearance, I can run 32s no problem.

Thought I’d go for the Toei/Ebesu passhunter vibe. Not sure I’m loving it. May need longer stem, but that will conflict with the decaleur & rack alignment. Ohh well may go back to drops.

Maybe try a bushnell EBB insert?
It should eliminate a lot of the issues with regular EBB inserts -

cheers - i'll have a look at those. the current one is a double wedge design which requires a hefty tap with a mallet to remove / adjust, and then seems to slip after adjustment which makes the chain bounce off due to lack of tension on rough ground. not ideal.

I found this article quite informative - they've been building with EBBs for a looong time.

My esteemed fellow bicycle enthusiasts:
In the interest of determining the differences, if any, between two methods of downoading an image from the World Wide Web, I present to you here two identical images with a humble request for those with the time, willingness, and technology to investigate to please observe each image carefully and reply with your perception(s):
When seen side by side, do the two images differ in quality, and if so, is the difference discernable, negligible, or undistinguishable to the naked eye? If it is discernable, to what degree, in your personal experience? And while we are on the subject of personal experience, if you would share with me in a short paragraph the impact that this exercise has had on your inner life, I would be much obliged.
It is with grateful anticipation that I await your replies, and many thanks for your kind attention.
Sincerely yours,
Gaston -

Using the android app, the bottom picture is better. Higher resolution.
This has had a profound effect on my inner life and I am eternally grateful for you -

Bottom one is ever so slightly better I think when really zoomed in on my laptop.
This has been the most productive thing I've done so far today, so I think that realising that is making me start my college work, so thanks ha
