I realise we're talking small samples sizes here, but I've had the Buono (not painted) for a good few years and no drips from mine. No experience with the Stagg though.
Are you going to be going from hot water dispenser, to kettle, to V60? Might be worth checking if you'll be losing too much temperature when doing that (no idea on the magnitude of the effect to be honest, I heat mine on a hob)

Non electric goosenecks, talk to me.
I have this one and I think it's very good for the low price: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Gooseneck-Kettle-Precision-Flow-Thermometer-Barista-Standard/dp/B01KOOOKUM/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?crid=3RTPTHFOIUWZD&keywords=coffee%2Bgator%2Bkettle&qid=1701186014&sprefix=coffe%2Bgator%2Bkettle%2Caps%2C90&sr=8-2-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&th=1
Similarly to you, I had concerns about making sure it could do gas and induction because we currently rent. I didn't want to shell out big bucks for an electric one with great reviews. Honestly, I'd struggle to think of an area where it could perform better.

Never been bothered about them before but we've ditched our kettle for an all in one hot and cold water dispenser thingy. All good for the clever dripper but need some thing for v60s now.
Shall I just get the Hario Buono? All black painted ones look nice but surely the paints just gonna flick off. Is the fellow stag worth the extra dollar?
