Thank you. I didn't go today as yesterday our hot water tank decided it was a good time to spring a leak so today was mostly waiting on a plumber.
On it with the firing times but the links are helpful.

SRAM and 54 only but 3k off.

They have the 56 (which is likely hippy's size) in the other colour scheme...
-
• #28755
The other colour scheme makes me wish there was a larger version
-
• #28756
And that I had £5k spare

the other colour scheme
Is that like "The One Who Shall Not Be Named"?
If I wanted a Cinelli...
-
• #28758
I'd pay £5k to have every one of those "the other colour scheme" Cruxes rattle canned in any other colour.

Don't get me wrong, I do appreciate the heads up. There was one on ebay for about the same price in a differen paint job but it was also SRAM I think and I can't be paying almost RRP to have the groupset swapped.
I tell you what though 560/388 stack and reach could be close...
I think my Kinesis was 564 / 395. That's fuck all really, just another 10mm on the stem.
Actually, it was S/R = 582.4/396 so that would be 20mm of extra spacers under the stem, perhaps.

Not sure if the Spesh figures include the top cap - the SL7 didn't (and now the SL8 does, which is why everyone lost their minds that they'd made it less aggressive when it was actually exactly the same). If those numbers don't include the top cap, it'll be really close.
Genuine Q: you really that anti-AXS? The XPLR version I've found perfectly good tbh. No, it doesn't shift quite as well as Di2, but it's good enough IMO and the ratios work well for the riding I do.

• #28761
I'm not anti-SRAM, I just have all the bikes, knowledge, experience, parts and yada yada fitted out with Shimano and Di2 that I'm not prepared to fuck about with alternatives.

I'm not anti-SRAM
I am so disappointed

I'm not anti-SRAM
I thought you were cool.

FFS, you're fucking up my sponsorship deal, guys!

37% off the bikes but 0% off the framesets? Tightarses. I'd ride this with puking.

Just get a Carbonda and spend the rest switching everything to SRAM IMHO
-
• #28768
Carbonda and SRAM are not things I will be handing my CC over for.
I would consider Light Bicycle rims again but only if I can't find a decent dynamo wheelset.
If I could just ignore the Open discussion we had earlier...

37% off the bikes
Even some 50% deals from shops
-

I honestly thought you'd posted a picture of a Carbonda 696 for a moment.

Most bikes look pretty similar these days. They all use the same ideas or in some cases literally the same frames. But it's like

I've never met Chris but he seems like a nice guy and I think his family might miss him.

I'm (mostly) just messing around. I have done, and will continue to, fall for a nice marketing campaign and brand values.
Weight weenie-ism and gravel don't seem like a good marriage to me, however. 700 grams for a frameset is nuts.

My plan was to use it to replace my ancient S-Works Tarmac.
I've got the MTBs for anything other than Champagne Gravel™
But I'm not paying £6k for a used one. If I was going superlight I might pay half that for a used Canyon Grail/Grizl.
Because you're not allowed to go fast if it's wet out?
