Workshop longshot

  • Hello fellow peddlers,

This is a long shot, but I am looking to get into framebuilding and thus looking for a workshop/studio space to accomodate this +my design/art bits. Does anyone have any leads in the Bristol Bath area? It would be great to share a space with some other artists, makers, or cyclists. Any studio hunting advice would be very much appreciated.

    Thank you!

  • Was gonna say Sturdy/Bike Academy in Frome but it looks like they've gone.

Business as Usual in Redfield had some interesting stuff going on but don't think frame building. No idea if it's still there.

  • Try stayer

  • Clandestine Cycles would be a good person to get in touch with. They have a workshop up near the arches in Bristol.

  • That's a good idea regarding frome, it seems like a hip enough town to find what I'm looking for. I did reach out to sturdy but I don't think that will go anywhere. As for Business as Usual, all I could find was an aptly named office refurbishment company that's permanently closed.

  • Ah nice I will look at clandestine and stayer. Thanks

  • Darn, looks like clandestine is leaving bristol.

  • Clandestine has moved to Bovey Tracey and Stayer are based in East London as far as I’m aware. You could try getting in touch with Andrew Densham at “one tube at a time” but I think he’s been quiet of late. BTR and Starling are both in your area, so might be worth getting in touch with.
