This one really sucks. KJ played some of the most brutal shows I’ve ever seen, one at the Brixton Academy in ‘94 was the greatest gig I’ve ever been to, it was absolute fucking mayhem. I still have the t-shirt.

No-one, absolutely no-one else played a guitar like that. His gold Gibson ES looked completely innocuous, yet the sound he got out of it was brutal. Such a unique style.

I hadn’t seen them for a couple of years, partly because I was worried that they were becoming a bit old and fat and I wanted to remember them as the lithe, visceral outfit that they were when I was younger. Stupid, I know. Now that’s it I guess, they can’t continue without Geordie.
