The poor tramp in his cardboard, the rich tramp in his yurt, the law sees them and equal and lets them both eat dirt....
Unfortunately, Lord Tramp is more likely to know the judge or his family and have access to top quality legal representation. The law is wonderfully equal, but an analysis of the prison population suggests that its application is less so.
In its majestic equality, the law forbids rich and poor alike to sleep under bridges, beg in the streets and steal loaves of bread.
