Lidl has Petrus in stock at the moment. And a couple of the other regular Belgian beers they stock (Bornem).

Found the Laphroaig barrel aged Innis & Gunn beer in B&M for £2.50 a bottle.
I really like these and it is half the price I paid when I cleared out Sainsbury's a few weeks back -

Have you got a link? I can’t see it on their website, clicking on the where to buy link is bringing up a US beverage page

Thanks for that, they really hide it away!

Abbot Reserve is a quite pleasant ale.
Malty and a bit fruity.
Got it in Tesco in a 4 for £7 deal, well worth it (if you like malty, strong ales) -

If you like mixed fermentation beers, look out for Brasserie Sacrilège. Based in Montpellier but I've seen their beers in Paris, Nantes and Marseille, so they have decent distribution. Highly recommended.

Cool, I'll keep an eye out. France has massively upped it's beer game there's an insane amount of local stuff in shops now.

Bit too much "blonde, brune, ambree" from most breweries tho IMO.
-
• #11721
Yeah, that's pretty standard isn't it but most I find do pale ales and double/triples as well.
I'm really enjoying alot of the pale ales/IPA's I'm finding. Even though they're using American hops most of the time they seem to be closer to English style so it's not just stupid over hopped grapefruit bubbleishous nonsense.

Moved to Lyon in August.

I second the recommendation for Brasserie Sacrilège, if you like that sort of thing. Pretty dry and tannic, which isn’t always my thing, but they’re good.
Brasserie du Mont Salève rarely disappoints, often exceptional, across all styles. And not a million kilometres from Lyon.

Picked up a bottle of Brasserie du Mont Salève Abricot on my last trip to Paris. Looking forward to trying it alongside the Sacrilège Abricot.
Is that the Holly Bush Inn at Makeney ?
Lovely pub if so.
