FS: Gazelle Commuter/City Bike, Large, £180

  • Selling my Gazelle "Orange" Commuter/City Bike.
Perfect working order and ready to ride - dynamo headlight works, suspension takes the edge off the road, tyres have good tread, etc.

7 speed hub gears and roller brakes. Both working great, nice and sharp.

I used this for two months whilst my main bike was out of action. I enjoyed the upright position and practical aspects immensely.

Sizing, it fits me well as show at 6ft, and could easily accomodate up to 6ft4.

    Useful features include:

    • Kickstand
    • Pannier Rack
    • Rear wheel lock
    • Dynamo light
    • Easy adjust stem
    • Bell built into left gripshift (genius)
    • Mudguards
    • Suspension forks and seatpost
    • Chainguard

Bike is in London, you can ride it away, or I can deliver for a small charge. No posting.

Can include a sturdy chain lock if desired for £10.

  • I had one of these for a few months. Like cycling around in an arm chair. Lovely stuff.

    GLWS

  • Where are you based?? I would like to try before buying. I bought a Union Cycle in the same style but it has two gears that are not so good for commuting with my son. This sounds better but this size might be huge for my shorty legs. I normally ride 54', 56 road frame.

  • If you're under 5ft10, it'll be too small, sadly.

  • GLWS a proper bargain.
I used to love it when I sold one of these, you knew you’d never see it back in for repair. Quality bikes with sturdy parts.

  • I really love these chainguards, sweet bike

  • Ive just learnt I am 5ft 6 however the Union Dockland i got is huge too. This is it: https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/346921/#comment15256064. Is it the same size?

  • Someone buy this. I have a Batavus which is just about identical. Heavy as heck but what a sweet ride, and built like a (comfortable) tank. The gears are very well-spaced, gets up any hill and I'm no climber.

  • This is the ultimate functional bike, and what every Dutch person rides in their daily life.

    GLWS.

  • Where are you located ?

  • East London, near stations.
@teew has dibs at the moment.

  • Can you let me know if teew falls through? Have an interested pal
