Having left banking for a bit and then recently rejoined, seems like many are no longer providing a phone number in their signatures.

I haven't done it myself but this is how a friend did it (but in reverse, money from an Irish property sale coming to UK and changed to sterling via revolut).

There are lots of facebook groups dedicated to moving / living in France, and you might be better off asking there. Sorry can't be more help.

Does anyone know what a "gel pocket" looks like on a velotec skinsuit? Or where it's located?

Are there any supermarkets in North East London that sell whole cooked chickens? This is a commonplace thing in Ireland but I haven't seen it in any of the Tesco or Sainsbury's near me.
Also, on a related note. Are there any websites where you can "borrow" a Tesco clubcard, or Sainsbury's nectar etc without signing up? Maybe something that benefits charity, would be ideal.

Waitrose often do, eg South Woodford has a rotisserie food counter listed on the website.
(that reply seems to be to the wrong message. Sorry. @exteroceptive in case you don't see it)

It's against the T&Cs so if they were well known they would get closed down.

Any recommendations for a USB C power bank that can do 65W PD?
Anker is my usual but ones that can do this are expensive. But, I just got a cheapish one (Veger) and it doesn't work so looking for the happy medium.

If you're buying one-off in store, ask the person next to you at the checkout; I've been caught out a few times and people are happy to oblige.
My partner works for a Mental Health and Arts charity in SE London and they stack Nectar points so that when winter holidays come round, they can cater a nice buffet and put some prizes on a raffle table.
Happy to offer these details if you're inclined.

I have a this Baseus one that works fine, and shows you volts and amps in and out and does pass-through charging. The form factor is a bit silly though.

ChatGPT agrees. I put CYOA's whole post in:
'If you're looking to replicate a table from your Notion into a website that updates automatically, there are a few routes you could consider:
Google Sheets: You can embed a Google Sheets table directly onto a website. It's fairly straightforward and allows for real-time updates if the sheet is updated. You can control the permissions and styling within Google Sheets itself.
Airtable: Similar to Google Sheets but often more user-friendly with advanced features. Airtable allows embedding tables onto websites and offers various styling options.
Custom Development: If you're comfortable with a bit of coding, you could create a custom solution using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to pull data from a source like Google Sheets or any API (like Notion's or others) and display it as a table on your website. This offers maximum control over style and data display.
Regarding maintaining the correct style and fonts, using Google Sheets or another platform that allows direct embedding might be the easiest, as they often maintain formatting when embedded into a website.
Remember, using APIs like Notion's might require some technical skills or knowledge of programming to integrate them seamlessly into your website.
Consider the level of control you want over your data, the ease of updating, and the technical skills you or your team possess when choosing the platform. Google Sheets or Airtable might be more user-friendly for regular updates, while custom development provides the most control over styling and functionality.

I recently used paypal (f and f) to buy some shoes for a friend (non english speaker). On my bank statement it shows up as DD - direct debit. Checking my direct debits the payment is listed under the one I have for the NYT. I've messaged paypal but anyone had anything similar? No other payments have been taken out and it seems more likely an error than an attempt at fraud.

• #119543
Cheers. That looks decent, I've bought one.

PayPal is listed as a DD on my account, they take they money out a few days later, it's always been this way for me. I use PayPal fairly regularly.

Any known of some kind of online utility where I can get an easy to digest visual metric of traffic levels at different times of day? I know Google maps does this in real-time to an extent, do they make this data on a averaged historic basis?
-
• #119549
I just shove a ball of electrical tape in the body of it, behind the lever itself. Invisible and stops it rattling around and making noise.

The AA do a traffic Web page, OK for looking at accidents that have happened but the other data is a bit hit and mis. Same for RAC.
I've kind of asked this before but I actually need it now and I fancy a trip to the golf club.
Just sold our gaff and need to start transferring the funds to our French bank so we can buy somewhere here. After searching through all the different transfer companies, my own bank and others there doesn't seem to be anything better than revolut from a transfer rate perspective.
Has anyone upgraded to their ultimate account before in order to do international transfers? Is there a limit on transfers (the site is a bit vague), it also says you can cancel the account at anytime, just wondered how easy it really is.
Of anyone knows any better ways of wiring the monies though I'm all ears.
