But they vetted us, and we even had someone come by and check us/apartment and the cat out.
Cats are supposed to survive falling from a great height if they have enough time to right themselves and spread out their legs parachute-style to slow down. Like a flying fox. They still land pretty hard but the elasticity of their tendons etc cushions them.
