Wonder how many of you know what a 71 -75 Plymouth fury super wagon looks like?
Think it has a 6.6 v8, so that makes it the super.
This is the cars best angle, lovely metallic green too

I'd hazard a guess that everyone looking at that picture knows what one looks like now.

Just put this on the mini, no longer sounds so agricultural (manifold had separated at the first cat) but a shame such a nice collection of pipes and welding are hidden from view. Looking forward to taking it out on a good run this evening, seems nice and subdued/no asbo so far combined with the Milltek resonated cat-back. Enjoying the R53 after the first few months, aiming to mostly just replace/upgrade parts as needed but it looks well for its 20 years according to the local mini specialist🤞the supercharger whine is quite addictive.

Tru fax. Worst think about the slk superchargered mercs is the lack of that sound.

Lucky it would appear. I did ask in the owners club (only 84 in UK) and nobody had had the rear end vibration like myself. Should find out tomorrow if the 3rd round of fixes resolves.
In other news: My loaner, a Xc40 B3 is a perfect family car - high praise, given my other car is a XC90.

Anyone in Edinburgh want to kick some tyres for me? And maybe drive for 8 hours for nothing more than the cost of petrol and then fly back home on their own dime? I know it's a tempting offer.

My parents have got one and I couldn't live with a boot that small.

True; though we're spoilt these days. I remember of old when we used to as a family of 4 pack ourselves into a 1l Fiesta with 2 suitcases and a set of golf clubs and head off to Scotland for a week.
They're perfect for nipping to Waitrose for the evenings dinner. Bonus is that at 194cm I can fit in the back seat behind my own driving position.
It's strangely nippy with the hybrid system taking off, then does absolutely nothing +40mph.

Crisis averted. Found a local garage.
Lesson for today is get work carried out before you need it!

Agh... need a new rear caliper as its ceased. And I was getting all excited about the disc not needing replacement.
That classic annoying car job: £120 for rear pads >>> £250 for pads all around >>> £315 for pads and a caliper
Basically it feels like the cost has trebled.
A quick search online has calipers coming up for £35. But they're obviously not delivered within an hour and a search on Euro has them coming up at potentially more, so I should probably be relieved.

At a guess the extra comes from cams, head work different chargers.
Having gone down the rabbit hole it appears it actually forgoes the supercharger. Turbo power alone it is then!
Wonder if the power is just at the top end, or on the whole rev range.
"An original P1800 never wore tyres that big, of course. But it never had a chassis like this nor an engine that makes 414bhp at 7000rpm or 336lb ft at 6000rpm, nor revved to 7700rpm. “We want it to feel as naturally aspirated as possible,” Hans Bååth, Cyan’s general manager for cars, shouts over monsoon-levels winds in Peak District. “So when you get to 5000rpm and it feels fast, keep going.”"
Sounds very top end to me!

Do pistons seize ;) the sliding pins sieze.
Now wondering what car it is as that feels a lot. Could always do it yourself.....
This weekend I'm doing a few oil and filter changes on two different motorbikes, may be a gearbox oil change and maybe a clutch fluid change.
Lots of sitting around and waiting for things to drain.

Basically it is a car the looks a bit like a p1800. It is what people want, I don't get it. Then I'm not going to spend over half a million on a car.

I agree.
This is much cooler and I’m presuming came in at less that 1/5th the price: https://www.instagram.com/p/CkmQNNMPfcN/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

Saying thay I'm still building (copying) Lancia Fulvia engines that are giving 1.4 and 1.5 cc from an original 1.3.
But I'm not breaking any new ground, just using later technology.

Actually, how often do you check the fluid levels in the car?

Never, if the pissy Ford Ka craps out at the side of the road I'll torch it and call for a lift home.
For the methanol injected Impreza I was a bit more diligent lol.
