Great recent chat on this thread regarding setting out of floor finishes in rooms. Either centre of tile or cross junction of four tiles to avoid cutting sliver of tiles at wall junctions.
I centred parquet herringbone pattern to the fireplace. The border was a faff, but looks good around the fireplace, niches
