  • Yeah, I don't mind it at all on this and I think it often works best on busier watches, like chronographs, or dials that have arabic numerals.

    It's just a GMT version of the existing modern Alpinist, if you like that and want a GMT it's a winner. I'm here for Seiko making GMT versions of everything now. A 38mm version of the SKX GMT would be very welcome.

  • If it were three years ago I'd buy one. It looks great and addresses what I felt was an annoying shortcoming of these - and the sizing works for me.

    I'm not gonna buy any middlingly priced watches now though. Just not a winning move. If it was £700, sure, take my money. £1,290 is too much. Only for folks treating these as fashion watches who don't care if they lose £800 when they ditch it.

  • Yeah. The watch head looks really good from the pics I've seen, but the bracelet still looks like it's from a £400 watch unfortunately. And it is still fundamentally a 6R inside.
