Thanks for the quick turn around, greatly appreciated!edit: A box was waiting for me when I arrived home, only had time to unpack and have a quick look but they feel solid and are really really nice.

Project AWOL is almost complete but now I am having second thoughts about keeping it. It ended up a bit nice and I could really do with the money for a new milling machine and don't really need more bikes - I need more time for riding really.
Was thinking £1300 for frame forks and headset. And if you like mediocre powder coating I will even throw in a paint job (it might turn out alright). If I have a colour you like that is... If you want something else it's the price of the powder on top.
I can also do a complete build either with the groupset I was imagining for it TRP hylex + 10sp SRAM bar end shifter and XO rear mech or something brand new if you fancy that. Anyways get it touch via pm.It's a AWOL Comp from 2016 size XL I got for free on here. What you are paying for is the labour, added materials and custom parts.

Forks are custom made from t45 tubing with stainless 3d printed dropouts.
They can have all the rack mounts you'd want. Was going for bosses for mudguards, mid leg bosses and two on top of the legs and do a custom rack for in stainless steel. Which I'll happily do for you for a bit of extra cash.

What's the benefit of the fold? Or would you breakaway if you actually wanted to pack it down?
-
• #8290
Yeah so not actually FOLDING I guess. Breakaway is a better way to describe it

I understand some find £1300 a lot for a salvaged frame. But look at it like this.
I have spent at least 5 days on it. That's €260 a day and not counting rent, power, materials, licenced software and design work.

1300 for a repurposed, xxl rinko frame, made in Denmark, by hand, to a decent quality with in-house designed parts seems like a price that doesn’t need justification
Custom bikes are an artisan good, as with all artisan goods you’re rarely paying for the materials but instead for the craftsperson.
Use of Salvage is playing it down imo, ship of Theseus etc etc

Here here!
It’s not where you start, it’s where you finish that counts. When I was making furniture from repurposed materials it gave you a jumping off point, but only ‘you’ could see the vision until it was finished. It’s not upcycling or salvaging, you are not just putting lipstick on a pig. Don’t under sell yourself. -

AND the frame spent 6 months in MY shed, easily adds £1000 on top IMO.
