• Price drop to £500 as I need to downsize before moving house.

I built this bike in Feb 2017 after having the top tube repaired professionally by Carbon Bike Repair in Leatherhead. Since then it has seen a fair bit of milage and can say that I trust the durability of this frame and its repair. It is a bit of a mongrel though I feel that its the best part about it.
The wheels I built for this bike were the first I had a go at and I messed up the lacing. They've lasted well over 6 years like this and I cannot doubt their integrity.

    Spec:
Frame & Fork: 2015 BMC Granfondo GF01 51cm with Boardman road disc fork.
Wheels: Halo Vapour 32h laced to Shimano XT M8000 hubs.
Tyres: Pirelli Cinturato Classic 25c set up tubeless with Muc-Off valves and Orange Seal sealant.
Brakes: Shimano XT M8000 hydro brake set with Shimano RT99 140mm disc rotors and new brake pads.
Cranks: SRAM rival 170mm with Sram Force 50t narrow wide chainring. SRAM GXP press-fit BB
Gear set: Shimano XT M8000 shifter and derailleur with 11-42 cassette and Wipperman Connex chain.
Finishing kit: Specialized alloy bars (680mm), Specialized alloy stem (100mm). Kalloy 2 pin setback seatpost (27.2mm x 350mm), Prologo Zero 2 saddle (Steel rails are a little bit rusty) Elite Bottle cages. Brand new ODI x Vans lock on grips with Hope bar ends.
Pedals: Random alloy off brand flat pedals with sealed bearings, running smooth.

The bike has been thoroughly checked over and serviced with fresh mineral oil and a new gear cable.
There are some scratches and scuffs here and there as expected with a bike that has been used over 6 years. It has never had any serious crashes (surprisingly).
I will supply a spare cassette of the same ratio and if I can find them, I think I have some chains that still have some life left in them though I will not hold my breath.

I feel that I no longer need this in my collection as it has been gathering dust of late. It would be great to see somebody else enjoy this bike as much as I have done over the years and as attached as I am to this, it is also an exercise for myself to let go, regardless of my fondness or attachment.

I am open to offers and will be able to deliver so long as the journey home is easy on public transport.

  • Nice... how tall are you?

..And whats max tyre clearance? 28mm?

  • @user116252

Hi. About 165cm but inseam is 81cm so I always used it with the saddle fairly high.
With the current rims, it depends on the tyre as the inner width bows the tyres out larger. It's currently running 25c which sit closer to 28c.

  • Dug out the Shimano SLX cassette that is mentioned as a spare.
