AWD is a firm requirement. Newer Subarus just don't seem to have moved on in terms of power or fuel efficiency from my 2006 model...... and they have a CVT gearbox, not sure I can live with that.

And newer Subarus have the part time awd systems, coupled with the CVT = crap.
Coincidentally, this morning I had a browse around a 2023 WRX. The interior was disgusting and so cheap feeling. Would not buy.

Fair, I've not looked at newer ones beyond from outside. The 11L/100km on mine is annoying, but it's a cockroach and that's worth a lot.

Look at the scout though, it was nice inside.

Friend has a Skoda scout, but don't know if it's same suspension as Audi. Seems decent enough. I wouldn't want an A6. Maybe a newer Subaru? Do you have to have AWD?
