I was almost tempted by RE's a couple times, but they are heavy and the classic style ones generally attract the wrong sort of clientele, like a Leica Rangefinder meet.
RE Himalayan is an odd duck. Lacklustre in almost every way, but if you want that affordable comfortable slow bike that just does what it does - like the person who's worked on checkouts for the last 20 years - it's the bike for you.
I'd definitely consider the Scram version, which does away with all the faux adventure crap in lieu of slightly more attractive scrambler bits.
Seems like RE’s marketing department are busy right now - Itchy Boots on youtube has also in this exact part of the world on a new/pre-release Himalayan in the past few weeks and months.
