No. I think the closest you'd get is a setup like the Incas where people worked collectively on rotation. So yeah I think Israel is a solid guess.
European culture is founded on exploitation of peasants, so that's going to feed through any European derived cultures.

Food is rather important, but in the UK and US we all collude in exploiting migrants to produce it. If we try to do the work ourselves we usually quit because it's so tough.
