They are certainly long. They fit a bit better after going from Venturemax to Truckstops with less silly amounts of reach and some BDHU. I do like them overall

I am going to mount my TRPs to Venturemax bars as well soon. But looking at that photo I think you could have gotten a similar reach on the setup if you had rotated the bars futher down. Truckstops look to be mounted perfectly and are probably better looking with the levers , as both trp hylexs and venturemaxes have a lot going on.

Hylexs and bar end shifters do make sense, more space for handlebar bag when there's no brifters flapping about.

How do you like the levers? Tempted by those brakes, but unsure if my small hands will like them.
