The forum can speak for itself but the #tester_approved solution is to throw your cantilevers in the sea and get Shimano 90mm V brakes

Noted, and appreciated. Not against mini Vs, would need to figure out the cable routing at the rear and whether I'd have enough clearance with the chonky square profile SKS guards
I've also been really happy with the cantis on my partner's bike and my muddy fox so I'm not convinced that all cantis are bad

Recently replaced the 20+ year old drivetrain on my commuter/tourer with a spa cycles triple, 11-34 cassette and new derailleur. V pleased with it.
Final thing to sort out is the brakes. I've never been able to get good performance out of them and commuting in the rain recently has made an upgrade feel a bit more urgent... Is there any sense in swapping these for a new set of Tektro CR710s (the only affordable but decently reviewed cantis I can find online)? Or are there another forum-approved canti brakes I should be looking out for? Or should I just try and service these and accept that my spannering is the issue and not the brakes?
