I've got the Singletrack II ones and they're ok, water resistant for about 8 seconds but they dry quite quick.
If it's definitely not going to be wet, I much prefer the 50to01 ones I have though, they're a nicer cut, fabric feels nicer. I suspect, however, that I'm not really cool enough to wear them. Like a centrist Dad dressed in Palace. -
You're asking for just trousers to wear? Not waterproof right, as everyone seems to be reading.
I just wear some hiking trousers a lot, as long as they're flexible it's ok. Most MTB trousers are pretty strudy so riding long in them isn't great. I did heave some endura ones, they were good, if heavy and bulky. But for proper MTB they were solid. -

I bought some of these in L but they were way too big, currently wearing the M ones which are also roomy I bought to replace them as they're pretty good. I've been outside a fair bit today and they've brushed off small showers and dried quickly after bigger ones. I wore them the other week over some merino tights as it was a cold and they're not super warm, I got absolutely soaked but they dried up well stood working under cover . I know hippy is fat so I dunno if the L are big enough but I can post them for £30 if you want, worn once.

If you’re still looking trousers, I’ve now gotten a (short) ride in my Humvees.
The cut is a bit funny, wider from the knee down than I expected, narrower from the knee up than I expected.
I had some pretty bulky joggy type shorts under them as I was on my way into town to get tattooed so needed something to strip off. I expect they’ll be better without this but they are almost on the verge of being restrictive around the hips.
Although the bottom of the legs are baggies than expected there was no chain catching issues or anything. The cuff seems to be a bit tighter so they stay out of the way and there’s Velcro at the cuff and up the leg a bit that could be used to tighten them up a smidge.
Material feels really light which will be good for packing and drying I imagine, wonder how warm they’ll be, I can always wear tights under.
The long pockets on the back of the thigh are missing which seems like a shame, I like them for stuffing gloves and that in on the shorts and 3/4.
Waist is nice and high at the rear so no Eye of Sauron.
What MTB long pants are not shit?
I like Hummvee shorts - should I just get them in full length leg?
