  • Looks like a good alternative to Swytch.
Arcc are worth a mention; they even sell converted Bromptons.

  • Which child carrier is this?

  • He told me it's called "Duramaxx King Rex" and he bought it on amazon. No long term feedback unluckily

  • I’m on the list but haven’t got an email for pre-order.

    Questions:

    1. Do they still let you have a 2 speed set up?
    2. Are the hubs torque sensing?
    3. How much was it on pre-order?
  • When I first saw it I thought: where's the battery? It looks tiny!
Range would be a deal breaker for me, I think!

  • On 3. From the video = £599.
    Retail = £999 (estimated).
    I can't believe I watched that video

  • I just got the mail-out from them and it’s £599 + VAT

  • They obviously don’t realise ‘last mile’ isn’t actually about 1 mile.

Great questions, i probably should have asked before parting with my £718

  • Best VFM dynamo setup is....?

  • i bought the dynamo wheel already built from sjs (sp hub) -- which cost-wise is really good.

lights can be had for cheap but i went with iq-xs (front) and a b+m (that looks identical to the son rear). not the best value for money but its a great setup.

  • is the lezyne brompton pump worth it? i just broke my old zefal one ....

  • i dont even have a brompton but am so so intrigued by this. it looks great. yes range wont be ideal but for rail commuters it looks amazing

what i dont understand is whether you can still run a geared setup with it?

  • From the video I think it’s a two speed. And the hub has the torque sensor built in. I actually think the lower range but smaller battery is a good tradeoff. If the ride is more than an hour, I’d probably take a full size bike anyway. And the fact that it’s a brompton means you can just bring it in and charge it.

  • Yes it’s much better, the triangle brackets are shit though

  • +sbbohr is there a reason why no one has come up with a regular sized pump c. 30-35cm which could be stored in the seat tube?

I know you have quite some connections with the grey market mod suppliers, can you ask them for me if you ever chat with them again?

  • I have a BSR rear wheel up for grabs. Virtually new, it was taken off my wife’s bike and swapped for a BWR due to hills. Probably 50 miles on it, at best.

Collection CR7 or N16 or can meet inbetween.

    Does £90 sound fair?

  • Dahon have had a seatpost pump for years. It’s not great, but it does work.

  • I'm looking for some silver brake callipers. Brompton have discontinued them and all I can seem to find is the black variant. Also if anyone has the new style brake levers I'd be interested.

  • Got play in my rear hinge for sure - how much is too much and what’s it going to cost to fix at lunar ?

  • Hold the frame and wiggle the back end - more than 3 or 4mm at the dropout and it’s time to replace.

Should cost around £50 all in.

  • Ta - yeah - the wiggle is real. Ho hum.

  • Ship it over to Somerset, £22.50 parts, £20 labour

  • Whereabouts are you?
