Depends which "Italian" frame, most of them are made in China these days, so they can hardly experience culture shock if exposed to Malaysian made Shimano parts
No but your gears and brakes will work. Runs for cover.
Back in the 70's I put Dura Ace, Suntour, sakae, kyokuto and much more on everything and I made it through :)
