L’eroica is fantastic and the frame looks stunning - I’ve probably got parts if you need them

I shall be looking out for this in Montalcino in May!

You will have to shout me if you do!!

Amazing - thank you for the kind offer. I’d certainly be interested if you have anything for sale!
I am thinking the following (or similar):
Dura Ace 7400
White Concor saddle
Wheels??
Cinelli 38cm handlebar
Cinelli 110/120 stem XA or 1R
Aftermarket brakeset such as Dia Compe or Modolo
Brake levers??So much to learn for period correctness 😨

I'd need to get into the shed but think I have:
- Most if not all of a Dura Ace 7400 group (might be 7401/2 but visually very similar); might also have an early 600 group
- White Turbo and white ti railed Rolls
- Plenty of wheels!
- Cinelli stem and bar/s but think wider than 38cm
Probably won't have meaningful chance to look before the weekend though

Small progress! Royce Titanium BB fitted. Confusing things - the RH and LH etched into each side indicate the thread, not the side that it should be installed. Bit of a head scratcher 😂
Not so happy with the finish of the BB shell against the clean polished Royce, so next thing to do is face the frame for a clean look as it’s exposed.

Update on the Vitus build - been slowly picking up parts..
Got a bargain wheelset off of eBay which are not entirely Eroica compliant (some research suggests the rims to be from the early 90’s) - however the Shimano Sante hubs are from 87.
I think the cloudy finish on the hubs and rims will complement the frame really well.. but I mainly bought them because of that ceramic text 🙏. The Conti tyres are just placeholders at the moment. I’d love to find some suitable 21mm/23mm so I can feel like Sean Kelly.

Updates to the Eroica build:
Managed to source most of a Dura Ace 7400 group through the forum legend @retrodicorsa who has been both inspirational in the depth of knowledge in retro/vintage racers, and very helpful in sourcing period correct small parts for me. 🏆
See pics! (The brake set is a later generation of 74 DA however it’s my intention to switch up to STI’s and make the bike more user friendly for myself…

Also - over the festive period my sister (legend) did a load of research knowing I was building this up and she found some fitting decals.. I didn’t want to go the KAS Sean Kelly route as I think it’s been a bit over done.
The decals are for a Motobecane La Redoute C7 model. La Redoute used Vitus 979 frames badged up as MBK’s in the 80s. So cool.
If I’m honest the level of stress in this part of the build was quite extreme 😂 getting the alignment straight on the decal required a fair amount of patience and measuring
