Sodium sulphate
Sodium carbonate
Sodium percarbonateOne of those is doing all the heavy lifting and the other two are just filler. PulyCaff powder is about three or four times the price of sodium percarbonate from an aquarium supplies outlet.

I think it’s only the sodium sulphate which is a filler. The sodium carbonate is the detergent and that’s probably what I can feel saponifying (sp?) my skin when I get it on my fingers.

Good spot, it forms hydroxide ions in solution which will indeed saponify your skin oils and any residual milk fat in the flask. I rather imagined that the offending flask had already been washed out with a detergent 🙂

Thanks, just picked one up there whilst lamenting the tumbleweed and decline of brick and mortar shops ;(

dear LauFingGaSS: i am writing a research funding application and finding it difficult to come up with costs. research will mostly be on art/artists/based on library work/social engagement. I have a list of what I think is obvious- from copy editor charges to photography equipment- but wondered if there were any clever things that I am unlikely to have thought of, on a friday, after a long week and a wine

Any tips, products to clean blood and gore from a pair of very nice Dent leather gloves?***
I wiped the worst off on the grass and wet wiped the rest, but now the are drying they have a bit of staining and are a little bit crunchy. Not the soft lovelyness they once were.*** Dolly got a massive rat last night and it sort of tore in half when a wrestled it from her.looks like butter wouldn’t melt, she’s a psycho killer! I’m not a serial killer, honestly.
I also feel the need to tell you that’s not our chair.

Leather soap or saddle soap. Rinse off blood and gore, then leather soap and dry in a cool place.
Cleans off remains of pheasant.

Bolt and nut question ... I kinda know what I want, but not how to search for it online. The kinda thing that would be really easy to resolve it I had a good hardware shop locally.
A triple purpose strimmer/hedge cutter/something else that I am currently custodian for (my landlord owns it) is missing a bolt and nut to tighten the different heads available to interchange. It's something like this https://www.screwfix.com/p/titan-tt5mtp26-2-26cc-petrol-4-in-1-multi-tool/995PV?kpid=995PV&cm_mmc=Google-_-Datafeed-_-Outdoor%20and%20Gardening?kpid=KINASEKPID&cm_mmc=Google-_-TOKEN1-_-TOKEN2&ds_rl=1249410&ds_rl=1241687&ds_rl=1245250&gad_source=1&ds_rl=1247848&ds_rl=1245250&gclid=CjwKCAiA6byqBhAWEiwAnGCA4FDIEr0Z4Gv7dhkLrUpRb9zqHFU3_QzpHA6fSkKkz41628cwds9ddRoCclMQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
Undoubtedly my fault that the part is missing, and I need to get this replaced, although I've got no idea how and when this happened. If I knew where I'd dropped it I'd likely be able to just find the blooming part.
By luck, a nut I had in the garage fits perfectly in the plastic piece that allows you to tighten and loosen by hand (see attached pic). I had hoped that the corresponding bolt I had in the same box would work, but alas it is too short. The box of bolts and nuts is not labelled. I'm looking to be able to order a new bolt from an online shop for delivery in the UK.
The nut is 10mm across.
The bolt appears to be an M6, based on me using callipers to measure that it is just slightly under 6mm, and the threads are 1mm apart. The one I have is 25mm long, and I need something in the region of 50mm long.
I was looking at ordering this https://amzn.eu/d/9HxYDfW , but noticed in the images that the hex head is 11mm across, and therefore won't fit the intended application.
Am I right in assuming that it's an M6 bolt I want, or could I be mistaken there?
What's a good place to order the bolt I need online for not too much money?

I use Kayfast for most things like this, but you might get something from Halfords or similar:

I'm surprised at 11mm AF for an M6 bolt - isn't 10mm the more usual size?
edit - not quick enough at typing or whatever it is with a touchscreen thing -

If I put Shimano 105 components on an Italian frame, will I basically catch fire on the spot?

Why are these rated F?
Energy efficiency labels for lighting were rescaled in 2021 to provide a meaningful scale for modern lamps.
https://ec.europa.eu/commission/presscorner/detail/en/ip_21_4484
Your lamp at 100lm/W would have been good in the olden days, but you need 210lm/W these days to score an A rating -

an Italian frame
Depends which "Italian" frame, most of them are made in China these days, so they can hardly experience culture shock if exposed to Malaysian made Shimano parts

Back in the 70's I put Dura Ace, Suntour, sakae, kyokuto and much more on everything and I made it through :)
Tokyobike, curiously.
