Easy to control with medication, I'm on Amlodipine and Ramipril. Mine came on very suddenly around nine years ago, everything was totally normal then it decided to jump up. Nothing had changed with my health/diet/etc, it seems to be a hereditary thing. Was fortunate that it was picked up almost straight away, I've been on the tablets ever since.

Thanks - that sounds promising. Did you notice any unexpected improvements to wellbeing that the medication brought about? I have a tendency for migraines and have been experiencing some level of chest pains which am hoping the medication rectifies, but maybe there are negative impacts that the high blood pressure is having that I'm not connecting, maybe with energy levels, sleep quality etc.
Very old thread, but any folks living with chronically high blood pressure?
Following a trip to the hospital and some tests, I’m monitoring ahead of some medical intervention. Mine seems to be in the region of 151/92 from a few days tracking, which would put me at hypertension, which is worrying but hopefully can be addressed. More worrying is that I suspect it’s been at that level for years.
